Kathleen VanBeekom

I was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia and lived there until age 20, I have 5 older siblings. I attended modeling school after high school, I didn't become a professional model but I like to think I'm internationally famous with my business videos.

Then I moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1985, got married soon after and helped my husband raise his 2 older sons from his first marriage, then we also had 2 more sons together, that's a lot of boys to put up with! They are all bigger than I am now.

What I would say about all that is, some people such as our older siblings will always think we're young and we know less than they do. Other people such as our children will always think we're old and we're not capable of learning new things. We must always strive to prove them all wrong all the time! LOL!

As far as business is concerned, I'd say it's most important to sell something unique or find a different way to present something if you're selling the same thing 1,000's of other people are selling. Also, compile a customer base, the AdlandPro Community is a fantastic base of people to share our offers with and make friends and get feedback. Sometimes we may not like a few negative comments, but it helps to get a fresh perspective and maybe that will cause us to make improvements.

If people don't like to sell, find a referral program that will pay you to bring in new customers without selling.

AdlandPro has lots of ways to make money; we can definitely earn enough to pay for our Community membership and Gold Membership just by promoting AdlandPro services. I think a lot of members don't realize all the services they can promote here. Also, just by bringing in new free members, that makes our community larger and expands everyone's potential customer base. The point is to get people here, and then they'll see what they've been missing.

I'm also active in mail-order, and the most important things are to track your ads, what headlines brought in the best responses, which ad resources have the most active readers, etc.

Setting goals and keeping records of our daily online advertising is also very important. There may be days when I get a lot of sign-ups for something, and it turns out that advertising at a certain time of day brings more site traffic, or using a certain headline works better than others. We've all had good days, then we wonder why the next few days were not as prosperous, if we don't keep track, we won't know. Just writing down where I advertise, which ad I used, and what time of day, easily helps me figure out how to duplicate success and not waste time doing things that don't bring in responses.

I am quiet, but can be friendly and outgoing.
I have a few friends I have kept in touch with over Internet for years.
I am new to Internet use and business; trying to figure it all out.
As I already said I love to travel, see the USA. I want to go to Montana, Dakota, Wyoming and a few others soon. I would like to take a train trip from Grand Canyon north through national forests, maybe a mule ride down the grand canyon again as I enjoyed that, NASCAR, cross stitch, reading, daily exercise, I want to try that train ride from Grand Canyon area to National Parks north??? I am looking into going somewhere.... Just don't have a plan yet. I retired and now I can go and do. Ha, ha!!!!
Years ago I camped at the North Rim and wild Elk came through the camp almost walking over us, the next year camped at the South Rim, and did the mule ride down into the canyon! Petty started the NASCAR Club and I joined last year, haven't been back to Daytona Beach area since 2000 :!:
My son went back to school for FireScience/EMT last fall, so much has been put on hold for now. He is a volunteer Fireman at Firestation, Village of Corrales, on Rio Grande River, Bosque area, horse/farm community on outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA! Last month as he was walking 6 miles of Rio Grande area cleaning up fire hazards and checking area, he saw live beavers swimming the Rio Grande with sticks in mouth to build dams in irrigation ditches, not even realizing we still had live beaver so close to us. Life is Grande, on Rio Grande! ! ! !

Bio:

My name is Kathy Cuenca. I was born & raised in a small town called Grand Haven, which is in Michigan. I grew up living in the city. My parents were very poor raising 4 children my father worked a Full- Time job during the day, then at night he would go & work a Part-time job just to make ends meet.
When I was in the 5th grade my mother decided to go to work in the evening hours to help my dad out. She hated her job & always complained. We are best of friends now.
My childhood was not easy with wearing hand me downs to school, being picked on all the time (called names for being heavy). I struggled with a weight problem through my younger years. At 17 I became a single mother raising a beautiful son (with my parents help). I continued to live at home ‘til I was 19. I always seemed to knock heads with my mom so I decided it was time to get out on my own.
I lived on welfare for awhile & they offered me the opportunity to start a job & earn a bonus. So I took on this job at a factory. I barely was getting by, but my family was still there for me.
This factory is where I met my Husband (of 13 years now).
My husband runs his own business installing Carpet, Vinyl, & V.C.T. Tile. Sometimes I help him with his paper work & installation. He is a very hard working man. He is very slow right now.
At 24 I delivered a beautiful daughter whom is now 13. She is the reason I am at Adland today. She said, "mom you got to try this web site people are so friendly" "what do you got to loose" she said? I told her to show me. I love it here at Adland.
At 29 I delivered yet another beautiful boy.
I have 2 stepchildren (1 at home yet, 1 on his own). I am a grandmother of 3, 2 girls & 1 boy.
I work 2 part-time jobs I work for our Local Post office as a Rural Carrier Sub. I also host a Tupperware web site. I have been selling Tupperware for about 6 years now. I love our products as they carry a Warranty against chipping, peeling or just plain breaking. If Tupperware cannot replace it they will give you a credit to purchase new products.

Hello all my Dear Friends,

I appreciate being featured in the Showcase! As most of you know I live with Doc (Donald Carey) in Seymour, Indiana which is a growing little town between Indianapolis and Louisville. We have a part Siamese cat called Snowball. I also attend church when I am not working, and Doc and I sing Gospel music with a friend of ours.

I was born and raised in the small town of Plainfield, Indiana in a good home with a sister and two brothers, then after completing High School and going for 4 years at Ball State University. I majored in Special Education. I also found the Lord Jesus and entered into a relationship with Him.

I got married and we moved to Indianapolis and I lived there most of my life except for living awhile in Colorado, California and the Southern states. I still have a little bit of southern accent, so am sometimes people think I am from Tennessee, but it was the last state I lived in before moving back home.

I have been in more than one bad relationship but am happy now and even though I made allot of mistakes I am grateful to know God has forgiven me.

I didn’t enter the work force full time until I was in my late 30's and my children's father and I separated, then divorced so it was a big adjustment. I was on my own for awhile with five of my six children and it wasn't easy, but I survived.

I have worked taking care of people as a Direct Caregiver for the Elderly and the Mentally Challenged and I enjoy the work but am usually underpaid for what I do. Who isn’t? I just got laid off my job but will have another one this week. It showed me how a job can be here one day and gone the next.

I also play the piano and guitar and have written some poetry which is in Poetry.com. I also hope to write a book someday.

I have sold various things off and on for different companies but was not on the Internet to find networkers until about three years ago.

I joined Adlandpro in May of 2005 and am now top 25 poster and was P.O.T. W. this year. I also joined and participate in WOSAT. I have more than one business and am in a few affiliate programs. Through Shop Right, I am indirectly involved in the Oil Industry and get online stores, and in Master Builders Alliance I can help people get their own dream home for $99 down, and get a good medical discount for their families.
